Dialogue
In addition to my academic work, I am a trained dialogue facilitator
with extensive experience organizing and leading dialogues in Europe and the US. You can read about my work with the Dutch organization Utrecht in Dialoog, where I helped develop dialogues on women's suffrage, social inclusion, and cultural diversity, here.
In Dayton, I have collaborated with other members of the University's Dialogue Zone to develop dialogues on immigration, anti-racism, and protest. I also organized a community dialogue on gun violence after
the August 2019 mass shooting in Dayton. Participants included elected officials, representatives from the YWCA, NAACP, and Community Police Council, and the former UN Special Rapporteur on the Prevention of Human Rights Violations Committed with Small Arms & Light Weapons.
